Jotform App Builder for ChatGPT and Claude: what it does, cost, and the catch

Jotform App Builder now works inside ChatGPT and Claude. You describe the app you want in a chat, and it builds a working Jotform app with forms, payments, documents and links that you can share by link or QR code. Jotform announced it on October 20, 2026. Here's what it does, what it costs, and the catch.
What Jotform App Builder does in ChatGPT and Claude
Jotform Apps, launched about five years ago, bundles forms, files and links into one app people can open on a phone or computer. The connector builds those apps from a chat.
Jotform's announcement gives three examples: a small business turning scattered customer resources into a customer portal, an HR team building an employee hub, and an event team combining registration forms, schedules and payments into one event app.
What you can put in an app
Jotform says its apps are used for collecting registrations, taking orders and payments, gathering signed documents, and sharing documents and resources.
Editing and sharing
In Jotform's own test, Claude built an event app in about 40 seconds. Inside the chat you can preview it on desktop or mobile, change the color palette, switch light or dark mode, and view it as a user, admin or visitor. When it's ready, you share it by link, QR code, social channels or embed code, or open it in Jotform's regular App Builder to keep editing.
How to connect it
In Claude, Jotform's steps are: open Customize, go to the Connectors tab, search for "Jotform," pick App Builder, and connect your Jotform account. In ChatGPT it's a plugin with the same name.
What Jotform App Builder costs
Jotform doesn't list a separate price for the connector. You need a Jotform account, and its pricing page lists a free Starter plan plus Bronze at $39 a month, Silver at $49 and Gold at $129, or $34, $39 and $99 a month billed yearly. Paid plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

The catch: the free plan fills up fast
An app is only as useful as the forms inside it, and the free Starter plan allows 5 forms, 100 submissions a month, 10 payment submissions and 10 signed documents, with Jotform branding left on. A portal taking real orders or deposits will likely need Bronze or higher.
Who should try it
It suits people who already use Jotform and work in ChatGPT or Claude, since a quote form, a deposit payment and an FAQ can become one shareable app without learning the editor.
