Beam.win Review (2026)
Beam.win review: a Mac app that brings single app windows from one Mac (say, a Mac mini running AI agents or builds) onto the Mac in front of you as real windows, with their own Dock icon and a place in ⌘Tab.
- Free: 20 min a day, no card
- Price: $7/mo yearly · $12 monthly
- Lifetime: $199 once
- Launched: Product Hunt #1, Oct 19, 2026
New launch, not tested hands-on. Beam (“Run AI agents on one Mac and use its windows on another”, made by Noats, Inc.) was #1 on the Product Hunt daily leaderboard for October 19, 2026 when we checked (about 8:20 AM ET). Its terms say paid plans launched on October 14, 2026; early buyers of the old $49 version were moved to Lifetime. Everything below comes from beam.win. We have not installed it.

Summary
Quick verdict: a clever, fairly priced fix if you keep a Mac mini or Studio busy with agents, builds or media apps and want its windows on your laptop without full-screen remote desktop. The Mac you connect to is free; you pay $7 a month (billed $84 a year), $12 month to month, or $199 once. Two Apple-silicon Macs required.
- Install Beam on two Macs, pick a window on one, and it opens on the other as a native window you can type into, resize and ⌘Tab to.
- Built for headless or far-away Macs: a Mac mini running AI agents, a Studio doing builds, a Mac in another room.
- Pricing is per person, not per Mac: Free (20 minutes a day of everything), Subscription $7/mo billed yearly ($84) or $12 month to month, Lifetime $199 once.
- Monthly and Yearly start with a 14-day free trial (card required, one per person).
- Teams: $12 a person a month or $84 a year, 20% off every seat from 10 people.
- Needs Apple-silicon Macs on macOS Sonoma or later; same Wi-Fi is enough, Tailscale for remote Macs.

- Only the Mac you sit at needs a plan. The Macs you connect to are free, however many.
- Free gives 20 minutes a day; the minutes reset daily and need an internet connection.
- Trials need a card and charge when the 14 days end unless you cancel.
- Paid plans keep working offline on your own network for up to 30 days; a Lifetime Mac must go online at least once every 30 days to stay signed in.
- Refunds: Beam says it will “sort out a refund” if it doesn’t work for you and they can’t fix it; otherwise at their discretion. Moving to Lifetime within three months credits what you paid.
- Lifetime covers direct connections; a relay service, if offered later, is separate (per the terms).
What it costs one person (our math)
| Option | Year 1 | Year 2 total | Year 3 total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly ($12) | $144 | $288 | $432 |
| Yearly ($84) | $84 | $168 | $252 |
| Lifetime ($199) | $199 | $199 | $199 |
Our arithmetic from the listed prices. Lifetime beats Yearly early in year three ($199 vs $252 after three years).

Features
From beam.win, its pricing page, FAQ and terms, October 19, 2026. Described, not tested.
- Windows, not a video feed: each beamed app arrives as its own window with a Dock icon and a place in ⌘Tab, instead of a picture of a whole desktop.
- Feels native: resize a corner here and the real window resizes over there; keyboard shortcuts land.
- Retina sharp: streamed at your display’s exact resolution, so text stays crisp.
- Fluid mode: bring a window over completely; it leaves the other Mac’s screen and a note there says where it went.
- Whole screens too, several at once: grab one window, a full display, or windows from several Macs side by side.
- Files and sound: drag a file onto a beamed window (or copy and paste) to move it; toggle the speaker to hear just that app.
- Share links and browser view: guests open one window in a browser tab with their own pointer and never pay.
- Private by design: windows, keys, clipboard and sound go Mac to Mac encrypted, never through Beam’s servers; hidden windows and password managers never reach the picker.
Who it’s for
- Developers and AI tinkerers who leave coding agents, builds or local models running on a Mac mini or Studio.
- Video, music and 3D people who render on a desktop Mac and want to check it from a laptop.
- Households or studios with several Macs who want one app from “the other Mac” without full screen sharing.
- Not for you if you use Windows, Linux or an Intel Mac, or if you only need one keyboard and mouse across Macs on one desk (that’s Apple’s free Universal Control).

The catch
It only works Mac to Mac on Apple silicon, and the free tier is a 20-minute daily taste.
- Both Macs need Apple silicon and macOS Sonoma or later; Intel Macs, Windows and Linux are out.
- Free is capped at 20 minutes a day, so real daily use means paying.
- Remote access outside your home network relies on Tailscale (or a future relay, which the terms say would be separate from Lifetime).
- Paid plans launched October 14, 2026; it is a small company and a young product.
- The Monthly price ($12) is 71% more than the Yearly rate ($7), so month-to-month is poor value after the trial.
- We have not tested latency, image quality or stability.
Verdict
- Free: enough to see whether beamed windows beat your current screen sharing; costs nothing and needs no card.
- Yearly ($84): the sensible plan once you use it daily.
- Lifetime ($199): worth it if you expect to use Beam for three years or more.
- Monthly ($12): only for a short project after the 14-day trial.

Worth trying if: you run agents, builds or heavy apps on a second Apple-silicon Mac and want those windows on the Mac in front of you.
Skip it if: you do not own two Apple-silicon Macs, or a free tool like Apple Screen Sharing already does the job for you.
Not tested hands-on. Prices can change; re-check beam.win/pricing before you buy.
