Summary

Quick verdict: one of the best-value ways to get many top image and video models in one place, with a real free tier (100 units a day) and a cheap way in at $9 a month or $5 billed yearly. The catch is the unit system: monthly units do not roll over, videos burn them fast, and the free plan has no commercial license.

  • A browser studio (and iOS app) that puts Krea’s own models (Krea 1, 2 and the new Krea 3) next to third-party ones such as Nano Banana, GPT Image, FLUX, Ideogram, Seedance, Veo, Kling, Wan and MiniMax.
  • Tools include image and video generation, real-time generation as you draw, image editing by typing, upscaling up to 22K on paid plans, lip sync, motion transfer, 3D and LoRA training.
  • Krea Agent plans, generates and refines a whole set of images or videos from one brief; Krea Nodes and the App Builder turn workflows into reusable apps.
  • Krea also plugs into ChatGPT, Claude (via MCP) and creative software such as After Effects.
  • Everything is paid in compute units: Free gets 100 a day; Basic, Pro and Max get 5,000, 20,000 and 60,000 a month.
  • Krea 3, its new in-house image model, is on every plan, including Free. Our Krea 3 pricing post covers its per-image cost.

  • Limited offer (ended): Krea ran an “Unlimited Krea 3 for 14 days” offer (unlimited Fast Krea 3 generations) with a qualifying Pro or Max annual purchase. It ended on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at about 4:25 PM ET, and the pricing page no longer shows it (checked October 22, 2026). Basic and Free were not included.
  • Yearly is labelled “40% off”. Krea says yearly Basic saves $48, Pro $168 and Max $504 against monthly billing.
  • Monthly units on Basic, Pro and Max do not roll over. Extra one-time packs (2,000 to 50,000 units) expire after 90 days.
  • Paid plans keep “unlimited relaxed generations” with supported Krea image models after the units run out.
  • Commercial license: Krea’s FAQ says Basic, Pro, Max, Business and Enterprise include one; Free is not listed.
  • Krea’s own comparison table shows Basic at $5.25 a month yearly while the plan card shows $5; we use the card price.

What a year costs (our math)

PlanMonthly × 12YearlyYou save
Basic$108$60$48
Pro$420$252$168
Max (60k)$1,260$756$504

Our arithmetic from the listed prices; it matches the savings Krea shows. On Pro yearly, 450 Nano Banana 2 images a month work out to about 4.7 cents an image.

Features

From krea.ai and its pricing page, October 20, 2026. Described, not tested.

  • Many models, one account: Krea 3, Krea 2, Nano Banana 2, GPT Image, FLUX, Ideogram, Seedance 2.5, Veo 3.1, Kling, Wan, Hailuo and MiniMax.
  • Krea 3: Krea’s new, fast in-house image model for generating and editing.
  • Krea Agent: brief it once; it plans, generates and iterates across models, with templates such as product shoots and explainers.
  • Real-time canvas: images update as you type or draw.
  • Edit and enhance: edit by typing, background removal, upscaling up to 22K (Topaz on paid plans), video upscaling and style transfer.
  • Train your own: image and video LoRA training (50 images on Free to Pro, 2,000 on Max and Business).
  • Nodes and App Builder: build visual workflows and share them as reusable apps.
  • Plugins and API: ChatGPT app, MCP for Claude, After Effects plugin and a developer API.

Who it’s for

  • Designers and marketers who want to compare many image and video models without paying for each one.
  • Ecommerce and social teams making product shots, ads and short clips at volume.
  • Studios and agencies that need LoRAs for brand characters or styles, and a team workspace.
  • Not for you if you only need a few images a month (the free daily units may be enough) or want a fixed, unlimited plan for video.

The catch

You pay in units, and video eats them quickly.

  • Basic, Pro and Max units reset every month and do not roll over; top-up packs expire after 90 days.
  • Video is expensive in units: Basic’s 5,000 units buy roughly 15 Seedance 2.0 Fast videos, and Basic only gets “selected” video models.
  • The free plan has no commercial license, so client and marketing work needs a paid plan.
  • The unlimited Krea 3 offer, which ended on October 22, 2026, needed a Pro or Max annual payment ($252 or more up front) and lasted only 14 days.
  • With dozens of models and a slider on Max, the real cost per image depends on which model you pick.
  • Krea’s pricing page and comparison table disagree slightly on Basic yearly ($5 vs $5.25).

Verdict

  • Free (100 units a day): enough to try Krea 3 and a few other models; personal use only.
  • Basic ($5 yearly / $9 monthly): cheap commercial use for images; light on video.
  • Pro ($21 yearly / $35 monthly): the sensible pick if you make video or need all models.
  • Max or Business: only after you know your monthly unit burn.

Worth trying if: you make images and short videos regularly and want many top models under one subscription.

Skip it if: you need lots of video on a small budget, or units that roll over.
