- Yearly saves $2 per member a month on Plus and $4 on Business (about 17%). The page says “Save up to 20% with yearly”.
- Custom Agents: free to try, then $10 per 1,000 monthly Notion credits. The comparison table lists them on Business and Enterprise.
- Students and educators: Plus with a 1-member limit is free with a school email.
- Free for teams: when a 2+ member Free workspace hits the block limit, you can still read, edit and organize, but can’t add new blocks. The page gives no number.
- Refunds: full refund if you downgrade within 3 days of monthly signup or 30 days of yearly signup, per the FAQ.

- Free and Plus get only a “Limited Trial” of Notion Agent, Meeting notes and Research mode.
- Business costs $20 per member vs $10 on Plus (yearly), or $24 vs $12 (monthly).
- The AI premium applies to every member, not just the people who use AI.
- For 10 members that’s +$100 a month on yearly billing, or +$120 on monthly.
Verdict
- Free: one person organizing notes, docs and projects.
- Plus ($10 yearly / $12 monthly per member): best value for small teams that don’t need built-in AI.
- Business ($20 yearly / $24 monthly per member): only if most members will use AI Meeting Notes and Notion Agent, or you need SSO.
- Enterprise: when you need SCIM, an audit log or zero data retention.
Worth it if: you work alone and want a free workspace, or you lead a small team that is fine paying per member.
Skip it if: you want AI for the whole team on a tight budget, or your team already has a docs setup everyone uses.
