Short answer (November 3, 2026): Riverside Agents are four AI helpers (Producer, Editor, Clipper and Marketer) built into the Riverside video and podcast platform. They're included on every Riverside plan, which starts at $24 a month billed yearly after a 14-day free trial; the catch is that Riverside no longer lists a free plan, so you pay once the trial ends.
Riverside launched Riverside Agents on October 26, 2026, calling them "the first AI production team built only for video." Here's what each agent does, what Riverside costs, and the catch.

What Riverside Agents do
According to Riverside's help center overview, each agent handles one stage of production:
- Producer preps your session and studio. It can help plan a webinar, and during a recording it suggests questions and next steps from the live transcript.
- Editor turns a raw recording into a finished edit. It proposes a step-by-step plan to tighten the conversation, clean up the audio, and add layouts, overlays, branding and captions.
- Clipper finds the moments worth sharing and turns them into short videos with Magic Clips.
- Marketer writes captions, creates thumbnails, and publishes or schedules your content to social channels and podcast hosting.
The agents hand work to each other. Ask the Producer for clips and it passes the job to the Clipper. Riverside says nothing is applied or posted without your approval, and you can keep any step manual.
Riverside pricing with agents
Riverside's agents page says the agents are available on every plan, and what they can do depends on your plan. The pricing page lists:
| Plan | Billed yearly | Billed monthly (plan cards) |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | $24/month | $35/month |
| Grow | $34/month | $45/month |
| Webinar | $79/month | $99/month |
| Business | Custom | Custom |
Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. The same page's FAQ quotes lower monthly prices for Pro ($29) and Grow ($39), so check the total at checkout.
Chatting with an agent doesn't use AI credits. Features that run on credits, such as AI Translation, AI B-roll and Animated Clips, still use them when an agent applies them, and the agent shows the cost and asks first. Pro starts with 2,000 credits and Business with 12,000.
The catch: there's no free plan anymore
Riverside's pricing page lists only paid plans. The "Start for free" buttons lead to a 14-day trial, so after two weeks you need at least Pro to keep the agents working. If you only record a few episodes a year, that's a real monthly cost to weigh.
Who should try it
Podcasters and video creators who record regularly and spend hours cutting clips and writing captions get the most from the agents, since the Clipper and Marketer take over that repeat work. If you mostly edit by text and don't record in Riverside, compare our Descript review, the Descript October update and our OpusClip review, or browse more in the tools directory.

Are Riverside Agents free?
They don't cost extra. They're included on every Riverside plan, but those plans are paid, starting at $24 a month billed yearly after a 14-day free trial.
Do Riverside Agents post without my approval?

Can I use Riverside Agents on my phone?
Yes, in the Riverside iOS app. Riverside says everything the agents do on the web, they also do on mobile.
