Dottr Review (2026)
Dottr review: an AI contract teammate that lives in your email. CC it on a thread and it drafts the agreement, flags the risks in plain English, sends it for signature and chases every signer, for $1 a contract.
- Free: first 5 contracts, no card
- Price: $1 a contract, packs from $10
- Seats: unlimited, never billed
- Launched: Product Hunt, Oct 16, 2026
New launch, not tested hands-on. Dottr (“Agent that drafts contracts, flags risks + gets them signed”) was #9 on the Product Hunt daily leaderboard for October 16, 2026. It is run by Billions Dots Inc. of Lewes, Delaware (terms effective June 29, 2026). Everything below comes from dottr.ai. We have not sent a contract through it.
No affiliate program found. dottr.ai/affiliate, /affiliates, /partners, /referral and /refer all returned 404 on October 17, 2026. Dottr’s launch offer has a customer referral reward (free months), not a cash affiliate program. Every link on this page goes to the official site and earns us nothing.
Summary
Quick verdict: a smart, cheap way for founders, agencies and small teams to get routine contracts (NDAs, SOWs, offer letters, retainers) drafted, checked and signed without leaving the inbox. It is not a lawyer, and it is brand new.
- Pay per contract, not per seat: $1 covers drafting, review, coordinating, signing and download for one document.
- Your first 5 contracts are free, as whole contracts, with no card.
- Packs: 12 for $10, 20 for $18, 30 for $27, 50 for $45. Packs never expire and stack. Custom price past 50.
- Email-native: CC or forward to dottr@dottr.io. The other side needs no login and never pays.
- Reviews contracts against general rules or your own playbooks, redlines in tracked Word docs, and chases signers on a cadence you set.
- Launch offer: 2 months free on sign-up, or 2 years free once two people you refer each sign a contract.

- No subscription, no monthly minimum and no per-seat fee. Unlimited users on every workspace.
- Packs are bought up front, do not expire at the end of a month, and stack if you run out mid-deal.
- A contract Dottr reviews but that never gets signed still uses one contract.
- Redrafts, redline rounds, extra signers and reminders on the same document stay inside that one dollar.
- Oddity: the 12-pack ($0.83 each) is cheaper per contract than the 20, 30 and 50 packs ($0.90 each).
- Dottr’s own “$73+ per user per month” stack comparison uses third-party list prices it checked in August 2026; that comparison is Dottr’s, not ours.

Features
From dottr.ai and dottr.ai/pricing, October 18, 2026. Described, not tested.
- Email-native intake: CC or forward a thread, notes or a call recap; Dottr replies in the same thread.
- Drafting from your templates: rule-based contract creation “to the rules of any jurisdiction”, in your company’s language.
- Risk review in plain English: against general contract rules or as many company playbooks as you like (never capped).
- Multi-round redlining: every version comes back as a tracked Word doc with a changelog; manual edits, version compare and version history included.
- Signing and chasing: e-signature with audit trail and Certificate of Completion, signer custom fields, custom approval routing (for example finance sign-off) and a follow-up cadence you control.
- Repository: searchable contract log, “Ask Dottr anything” across all your contracts, and renewal reminders before an auto-renewal.
- Privacy: Dottr says it does not use your contracts to train AI models, including on the free plan.
- Not yet available: API access and custom or white-label branding are listed as roadmap items.
Who it’s for
- Founders, freelancers and agencies who close deals over email and lose days between “we’re aligned” and a signed contract.
- Small teams without in-house legal handling NDAs, SOWs, MSAs, retainers and offer letters.
- Teams that hate per-seat pricing: finance, the CEO and your lawyer can all join at no cost.
- Not for you if you need real legal advice, an API, white-label branding, or a long-established vendor for regulated contracts.

The catch
It is an AI, not a lawyer, and you pay for every contract it reads, signed or not.
- Plain-English risk flags are useful, but they are not legal advice; the human lawyer option is a separately quoted add-on.
- Every contract Dottr reviews uses a credit, even if the deal never closes.
- The launch offer (“2 months free”, “2 years if you bring two”) sits awkwardly with pay-per-contract pricing; the pages we read don’t spell out exactly what “free” covers, and it “runs through the launch period” with no end date.
- Bigger packs are not cheaper per contract than the 12-pack.
- No API or white-label yet, and the company is new (terms effective June 29, 2026).
- We have not tested drafting, review quality or signing.
Verdict
- Free (5 contracts): enough to judge the review quality on your own real contracts; start here.
- 12-pack ($10): the best value per contract and fine for about one deal a month.
- Bigger packs ($18–$45): only for volume; they cost $0.90 a contract, slightly more than the 12-pack.

Worth trying if: you close deals over email, sign a few contracts a month, and want drafting, review and signature chasing in one cheap place.
Skip it if: you need a lawyer’s judgment, an API, or a vendor with a long track record.
Not tested hands-on. Prices can change; re-check dottr.ai/pricing before you buy.
Dottr FAQ
How much does Dottr cost?
As of October 18, 2026, your first 5 contracts are free. After that a contract costs $1, bought in packs: $10 for 12, $18 for 20, $27 for 30 or $45 for 50, with custom pricing past 50. Seats are never billed. Check dottr.ai/pricing for today’s price.
What is the main downside of Dottr?
It is a new AI tool, not a lawyer: its risk flags are not legal advice, every contract it reviews uses a credit even if the deal never closes, and there is no API or white-label option yet.
