Taim Review (2026)
Taim review: a voice-first thought-capture app that files what you say into threads, turns to-dos into tasks and calendar events, and shares that context with ChatGPT or Claude through MCP.
- Free: Basic plan, 5 voice dumps a week
- Pro: $19.99/mo or $90/yr (intro offer first)
- Apps: iOS; Linux coming soon
- Launched: Product Hunt, Oct 16, 2026 (#13 of the day)
New launch, not tested hands-on. Taim (“Capture it. Taim files, schedules & syncs it with your AI”) launched on Product Hunt this week and was on StartupCorners’ October 17, 2026 launch digest. It is made by Kyrosphere Inc. Everything below comes from trytaim.com unless we say it came from the makers’ Product Hunt replies. We have not used the app.

Summary
Quick verdict: a pleasant way to brain-dump by voice and let AI sort it into threads, tasks and reminders, with an MCP server so your AI assistant remembers it too. The free plan is a taster; Pro is pricey once the intro discount ends.
- Speak or type a thought; Taim files it into the right thread and turns to-dos into tasks, reminders and calendar events.
- Import notes, PDFs, Markdown, voice notes, text files or images (Apple Notes can be shared straight in).
- Shared threads and tasks with friends, family or a co-founder.
- MCP server (mcp.trytaim.com/mcp) with 7 tools so ChatGPT, Claude or Claude Code can read your threads and save new notes.
- Free Basic plan: 10 AI messages and 5 voice dumps a week, up to 5 threads and 5 friends.
- Pro: unlimited everything for $19.99 a month or $90 a year, with an intro offer of $8.99 for the first month or $39.99 for the first year.

Features
From trytaim.com, trytaim.com/pricing and trytaim.com/mcp/documentation, October 18, 2026. Described, not tested.
- Voice dumps: talk without structure; Taim keeps your original words and links them to the threads they belong in.
- Tasks, reminders, calendar: “Review it Friday at ten” becomes a scheduled item and a task; calendars can be connected and disconnected.
- Threads: connected notes by project or topic, with a schedule view.
- Sharing: share threads and tasks with others; both people see who is on a task and when it is done.
- Imports: notes, PDFs, Markdown, voice notes, text and images, filed into threads automatically.
- MCP server: 7 tools (5 read: list, search and get threads, search memories, pull context; 2 write: create thread, add entry). OAuth sign-in with your Taim account; no delete, task or calendar tools yet.
- Apps: iOS on the site, Linux “coming soon”. The makers said on Product Hunt that macOS and watchOS apps have just launched and Android is in progress (not on the official site yet).
Who it’s for
- People who think out loud and lose ideas across Apple Notes, voice memos and chats.
- Founders and small teams who want a shared record of decisions and customer feedback.
- Heavy ChatGPT or Claude users who want their assistant to remember context across chats via MCP.
- Not for you if you are on Android today, need a team workspace with admin controls, or already live in Notion.

The catch
The free plan is tight and Pro costs more than many note apps once the intro price ends.
- 5 voice dumps and 10 AI messages a week on the free plan is a trial, not a daily driver.
- Regular Pro price is $19.99 a month or $90 a year; the eye-catching $8.99 and $39.99 prices are first-period only.
- iOS first: Linux is “coming soon”, and Android exists only as a maker promise on Product Hunt.
- The MCP server reads and adds notes but cannot manage tasks or calendars yet.
- Your thoughts are processed by AI services; read the privacy policy before you put sensitive notes in.
- We have not tested the app, its transcription or its filing accuracy.
Verdict
- Basic (free): try it for a week to see if the auto-filing fits how you think.
- Pro annual ($39.99 first year): the sensible way in if you use it daily; then $90 a year.
- Pro monthly ($19.99 after month one): expensive for a notes app; only if you need it short term.

Worth trying if: you brain-dump by voice on an iPhone and want those thoughts sorted into tasks and available to ChatGPT or Claude.
Skip it if: you are on Android, want a cheap notes app, or need team admin controls.
